Anti-Bullying Week: Cyberbullying on social media
Here are some tips on preventing cyberbulling and other forms of online bullying.

For Anti-bullying Week, we’re looking at social media cyberbullying and other forms of online bullying. Instagram, YouTube, Tumblr, Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat are all popular social media platforms; Instagram being the most popular with children. Smartphones connect us to these platforms wherever we are, so a pupil might feel like there is no escape from social media cyber bullying.
Teachers, help your pupils out; give them some useful social media tips. If someone is making nasty comments on their social media page, advise your pupil to report their post and block them (although it might depend on which social media platform they are on). Blocking someone completely removes their ability to interact with your pupil.
Instagram, YouTube, Tumblr, Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat are all forms of social media (Instagram being the most popular with children). Smart phones connect us to the world wherever we are and sometimes it feels like there is no escape for your pupil if someone is bullying them online.
