Every year, Promethean conducts first-hand research into the use of technology in schools across the UK. With insight from over 1,600 educators, this year’s report provides an unparalleled awareness of trends and attitudes in the education sector.
We’ve learnt this year that overall enthusiasm for edtech is growing; 55% of teachers — up 6% on last year — believe technology improves behaviour and engagement. Only 5%, however, believe they get sufficient edtech support.

Our research has suggested that reduced budgets, misplaced investment and insufficient training is failing teachers more than attitudes towards the technology itself. If a greater number of educational institutions solve current pain points with targeted technology rather than investing in tech for the sake of it, the entire sector could benefit from enhanced pupil motivation and improved attainment.
