The digital world is a bottomless source of inspiring online content. So, how did one primary school teacher, with a little help from his creative class, publish a heartwarming video that stood out from the rest?

Every year, edtech provider Promethean rewards 30 schools with a brand new ActivPanel; the latest in interactive front-of-class technology. Simon Hunt, teacher at Tottington Primary School, caught the eyes of the judges, becoming one of last year’s lucky ActivPanel winners. But more than this; his creative video entry, dotted with genuine humour and relatable classroom technology hardships, won the heart of the whole internet.

Now, on the back of the Promethean Grant, Mr Hunt has become a valued Promethean Advocate. His lively Facebook page is bursting with helpful resources, amazing lesson ideas, and top tips on using edtech effectively in the classroom.

This week, Mr Hunt has become an internet sensation all over again. He posted a video of his pupils teaching him the latest craze: the Floss Dance. Mr Hunt noticed his pupils were doing the dance in every spare moment they had, so decided to join them, with hilarious consequences. The candid video has been picked up by national news and has had millions of views. We are very proud of Mr Hunt and his dance skills.

This year, Mr Hunt will be on the judging panel of the 2018 Promethean Grant. Find out how you could win a Promethean ActivPanel here. Also, don’t miss Mr Hunt and his sidekick Jamie Berry sharing their top tips on winning their ActivPanel last year.

We have no doubt Mr Hunt will continue to be an internet sensation with his weekly videos and ideas. Well done Mr Hunt, keep up the good work!
